About TACT Analysis

The TACT method visualizes correlations by dividing each variable into terciles (low, medium, high) and showing what percentage of observations fall into each combination. Strong positive correlations show high percentages in the matching diagonal cells (low-low, medium-medium, high-high).

Key features:

• Green smiley faces (☺) indicate 'good' matches (diagonal cells)
• Red sad faces (☹) indicate 'poor' matches (off-diagonal cells)
• The accuracy percentage shows how well low, medium, and high values align
• Random chance would give 33.3% accuracy
